Place: Nile Season Hotel, room number 209 at 9:27am on the bed by the cupboard
Instead of being woken up by the flight of the Hadeda, i thought we would be woken up by the plight of the Mohammed... but i was wrong. We slept so well last night, catching up on sleep lost over our 24hr journey to Cairo.
We woke up at 7am and could not believe the time as our room has no windows.
We were surprised to hear that breakfast was included in the price. I had beans and falafel, pita bread butter and jam - very filling and we are ready to go.
It is a beautiful day here in Cairo and we are ready to adventure. Keen to race some camels and see some pyramids. We have planned a day trip to Giza, Kiptik area and the Citadel. We are both very excited and keen to get outside and have a jol. The day trip will cost us R320!!! unbelievably cheap. These guys are so poor that you almost just want to bless them - it is hard to bargain with a guy when he is barely making ends meet.
Looking forward to seeing the people and loving them!
